Descartes Pacejet 25.7 introduces the ability to assign an Alternate Return Address on a per-shipment basis, giving you the flexibility to meet partner-specific return requirements without manual effort. This new capability includes:
- Support for UPS and FedEx shipments
- New “Alternate Return” type under Informational Addresses
- Available directly on the Rate & Ship page and flows naturally through standard pack and ship processes
- New “Set Informational Address” rule to automatically map ERP-integrated address data to the correct return address

If you’re shipping LTL, you’ll want to take advantage of the three new fields now available in the Paperwork Editor. These additions make it easier to include critical shipment data in your Bills of Lading and maintain alignment across carriers, systems, and teams.
Three new fields added under the Shipment tab’s References section:
- Pro Number: Matches the Pro Bill field on the Shipments page
- Quote ID: Useful when returned by LTL or 3PL carriers
- Class of Service SCAC: The Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) for the service level used
