Senior Software Engineer
Position Summary
Responsible for providing technical leadership, design guidance, and programming for software applications built using Microsoft-based web technology. The ideal candidate will work with a close-knit team of .NET developers to build the next generation of web-based software applications for shipping, warehouse, distribution, and logistics. At Pacejet you’ll work in the latest technologies, employ creative strategies on interesting development projects, and leverage your experience with web-based software architectures to develop web applications, software-as-a-service (SAAS) solutions, and integration of Pacejet software with other ERP/business applications.
Overall Job Duties
· Assume a lead role in designing new software business applications that leverage best-practice use of Microsoft technologies such as Windows, SQL Server, Visual Studio, MSMQ, etc…
· Leverage your web-technology expertise to help Pacejet build applications that can be deployed on-site for customers as well as being offered on-demand via software-as-a-service (SAAS)
· Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where you’ll design, program key/challenging components, and lead other developers to build cohesive but flexible software solutions
· Help Pacejet software applications leverage web technologies and software frameworks including ASP.NET, IIS, DotNetNuke, Visual Studio, Ajax, XML/XSL
· Enable Pacejet software with flexible and scalable integration technologies such as XML and Web Services for easy integration with ERP systems and other business applications
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field; Minimum of (4) years experience in web-based software development using Microsoft .NET technologies; Minimum of (4) years of MS SQL Server database experience (i.e. Queries, Stored Procedures, DTS, etc…); Strong working knowledge of Web Services and user interface design & development; Strong interpersonal, collaborative & communication skills.
